About the role

We are currently seeking qualified crew members with proven experience to join our expanding Western Australian shutdown and maintenance teams.

  • Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximise plant and equipment availability.
  • Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools.
  • Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments.
  • Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together.
  • Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Operate powered machines that may be manually or computer-controlled.
  • Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required.

The role is offered on a casual basis and candidates must be based in Western Australia with the ability to FIFO from Perth to qualify.

Requirements

  • Valid WA Driver’s License – HR or manual C class preferred
  • Working at Heights Ticket (within 2 years)
  • Confined Space Ticket (within 2 years)
  • Construction Card
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Drug & Alcohol Screen (within 28 days)

Essential criteria

  • High Risk Work License – CO ticket preferred
  • High Risk Work License – RA & RI tickets preferred
  • Valid WA Driver’s License – HR/HR-B preferred
  • Construction (White) Card
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work well in a team in remote areas
  • Strong commitment towards safety and quality
  • Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
  • Company and customer focused based
  • Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
  • Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
