From the town of Capel in Western Australia’s South West to the nationwide engineering, construction, maintenance and fabrication business we are today, our company and capabilities have come a long way.
Our company was established in 1970 by founders David and Anne Payne and Ian and Betty Shields, whose initials form the DIAB name.
In the following decades, our company and capabilities continued to grow to meet the changing needs of the mining, resources and infrastructure sectors.
We became the preferred provider for capital works projects and maintenance services for clients across Australia, all built on the commitment and ingenuity of our people and our shared values.
In 2019, we joined the NRW Holdings group – one of Australia’s largest diversified industrial contracting services providers. While we continue with the same leadership team, being part of the NRW Holdings family has opened up a host of opportunities to innovate and diversify across Australia and beyond.
